The NYFCS® has partnered with ABC to promote the network’s new legal thriller “How To Get Away With Murder” premiering this Fall. The show features Viola Davis, the Oscar®-nominated actress from The Help and Doubt. Davis plays a top defense attorney and law professor who becomes entangled with her students in a murder.

lynn’s 2006 debut novel, the literary mystery Sharp Objects, was an Edgar Award finalist and the winner of two of Britain’s Dagger Awards—the first book ever to win multiple Daggers in one year. Movie rights have been sold.
Flynn’s second novel, the 2009 New York Times bestseller Dark Places, was a New Yorker Reviewers’ Favorite, Weekend TODAY Top Summer Read, Publishers Weekly Best Book of 2009, and Chicago Tribune Favorite Fiction choice. Movie rights have been sold, with Gilles Paquet-Brenner (Sarah’s Key) to direct.
Flynn’s third novel, GONE GIRL, is out June 2012 and you should stop reading this now and buy it immediately.
Flynn’s work has been published in twenty-eight countries. She lives in Chicago with her husband, Brett Nolan, their son, and a giant black cat named Roy. In theory she is working on her next novel. In reality she is possibly playing Ms. Pac-Man in her basement lair

NATIONAL PRE-RELEASE FILM SERIES WITH LIVE HD BROADCAST, STARS, PRODUCERS, DIRECTORS
Up until now, live talent has only been accessible to the public in New York, Los Angeles and at Festivals. Now everyone throughout the country can enjoy up close and personal moments from major movie stars, producers, writers and directors in the comfort of their own neighborhood theaters. Preview screenings have been offered before, but never with a live conversation component. This, in addition to a curated selection of films, will allow filmgoers to see the better independent movies before anyone else with exclusive insight into the production from the creators via LIVE, NATIONAL, HD BROADCAST in theaters throughout the US. Get the scoop before anyone else on brand new film before they are released. You don’t have to be an expert to enjoy behind-the-scenes stories about Hollywood and Indie Cinema from some of the greats. Past Series highlights have included special appearances by: Woody Harrelson, Anne Heche, Frank Langella, Paul Sorvino, Danny Aiello, Alan Arkin , John Turturro, Steve Buscemi, Anne Meara, Aidan Quinn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Sigourney Weaver, and many others.
Each movie in the Screening Series will be preceded by thrilling footage of New York City and live introduction by Peter Travers of Rolling Stone Magazine. Audiences will then see award winning films prior to their release followed by live-HD behind-the-scene footage with live Q&A between Travers, audiences and talent from the films. Each screening brings the energy and VIP nature of prestigious; live NYC screenings so that nationwide audiences may experience firsthand the stars and directors via HD broadcast.
